THE GARDENS

Immaculate gardens, quietly secluded

As you approach the main house, you are greeted by an impressive six-acre expanse that – once grazed by cattle – is now a beautifully manicured lawn adorned with oak trees. To the right of Gilmerton House, the South Garden presents a beautifully kept croquet lawn with a patio and barbecue area, perfect for a relaxed sundowner on a warm evening or a fire pit gathering later in the evening.

THE WEST LAWN

THE ROSE GARDEN

A stone bridge leads into a sunken woodland garden populated by rare trees and plants cultivated over generations, including the estate’s 260-year-old Californian sequoia tree. To the north, you will find the Rose Garden surrounded by sculpted hedgerows – a secluded space for quiet moments. As you explore, you may notice beehives dotted across the estate, kept to produce our own small-batch honey.
