INDOOR & OUTDOOR PURSUITS

Tailor-made retreats at Gilmerton House

A weekend at Gilmerton has its own rhythm; mornings on the driving range, long afternoons outdoors, evenings that end by the fire. Activities can be woven into your stay however you like: try clay pigeon shooting or archery, join a foraging walk through the woodland, or gather indoors for a whisky tasting, cooking demonstration or games night. From active days in the grounds to quieter time in the house, the Gilmerton team can help you put together a programme suited to your group, the season and the rhythm of your stay.

A woman practicing yoga indoors, kneeling on one knee with the other leg bent, one arm reaching upwards, and the other resting on her knee. She has long, wavy hair and tattoos on her arm, and is wearing a sports bra and patterned leggings. The room has wooden flooring, floral curtains, a framed painting on the wall, and yoga mats on the floor.
A man wearing sunglasses and a white t-shirt smiling while holding a falcon on his gloved arm in a park with several people in the background.
A woman in white clothes with a basket stands in front of a small wooden sauna trailer in a lush green forest, with large leafy plants nearby and a lounge chair on the grass.

“Some guests relaxed and chatted in the drawing room, others played billiards, then some of us headed to the driving range at sunset—the perfect way to spend the weekend.”
