Having been continuously lived in since it was built, Gilmerton bestows an ambience many of the larger houses of its kind lack. The house lends itself as an ideal setting for conferences, promotions, wedding receptions, dances, dinners, family parties, and filming groups.

Gilmerton is a fantastic venue for dinner parties for up to 40 guests, but larger numbers can be accommodated for in a marquee on the front lawn.

The Drawing Rooms are warm and inviting with patios and balcony overlooking the gardens and parkland. Both rooms are the perfect retreats for a leisurely afternoon tea or drinks on a warm, summer evening.

The Music Room, one of the finest rooms of its age in Scotland, was designed as a library and completely surrounded with wood panelling that has never been painted and a fine ceiling decorated with Rococo swirls.

The Dining Room, an elegant room with views over parkland and gardens, can cater for 18 guests. An additional table for children is also available.

The bedrooms have been renovated to the highest standards to accommodate delightful en-suite bathrooms without losing any of their elegant features and ensuring complete privacy and comfort.
